This well known aria works very well for three trumpets as you can tell. Each part has an equal responsibility and will enjoy some of the most beautiful phrases ever written. Although this is more of a Christmas tune, it's beauty can be enjoyed year 'round. I have lowered the original down one step to make it more approachable to the younger player and in this new key, many of the awkward fingerings become much easier.
Because of the constant parts being played, this can be played as a stand alone trumpet trio. I have mixed the organ more in the background so that you can hear the trumpets as an unaccompanied trumpet trio.
