Here is another from the master of suspensions and great counterpoint. The original duet for two soprani was lowered only by 1/2 step but makes all the difference for each part lays in the most beautiful register of the trumpet. This work contains three contrasting movements in time signatures of 3/2, 4/4 and 3/4.

If you’ve become tired of the Vivaldi duets and want to work up something more melodic and interesting, this set would fill your needs.

The two trumpet parts would also be great sight reading for two players for each player must count carefully for if you get lost, it’s all over for no one will come out alive.
