This should be a useful fanfare for you can play it with three to six players with about the same response. Parts 1, 3 and 5 are essential for performance, then the other part can be added as needed. This fanfare makes use of the three most important melodies in the piece and are easily recognized through out the fanfare. If you are needing a special fanfare to get everyone’s attention, this would be the one you should use. And the best part is that it’s FREE.

Free Trumpet Sheet Music- Fanfare for 6 Trumpets

I seldom have enough time any more to do a serious, original composition but I had two free hours yesterday so I jumped at the chance. I wanted to write a serious fanfare based on a Gm7 chord and this is what came out. The opening features a short ensemble trill effect to set the mood and capture the listener’s attention. The main theme is introduced with an unusual rhythmic section in order to give the line an unsettled feel. Once that was achieved, it goes into the two part fugue section with contrasting dynamics. Performing the dynamics as written is very important to achieve the proper effect. Nearing the close of the piece I used stacked chordal entrances and ended the number with a conventional church sounding ending. If you perform this fanfare, I would appreciate a recording. If you rehearse this piece, please let me know what you think of it.

I have had several requests for a collection of fanfares which could be used for any occasion, which is almost every program we play. Each fanfare is strikingly different and two have been written as a constant vamp for when your audience doesn’t know when to come in. Each part is easy and you will have many occasions to search through this collection for just the right fanfare for your particular need. These could be performed with three players but less than three would be a problem. All parts are on score page only.

This is a glorious example of Pezel and would work well on a recital or any other festive occasion. It would also work well as an extended fanfare. The first and second trumpet exchange lead parts and the third, fourth and fifth play throughout. Putting this together would be easy and could be staged with the first and second players on opposite ends of the stage for an antiphonal effect.

This was a requested fanfare for this Easter. The requirements were- 16 measures long and something grand. I think this fits the request well. It starts with the easily recognized “Christ the Lord” melody and fits both the trumpet as well as the organ. The trumpet part has enough strength to be played alone if need. Of course everyone needs a trill that early in the morning.
